We have retired the Radian name.
Our deal-by-deal investment practice now operates as Paligan. The decision was partly practical: an unrelated U.S. firm uses the Radian name in the same industry, and competing for clarity in a name is not a fight worth having.
But it was also an opportunity. Radian emerged from a carve-out within Weiss Group, and carried with it some of that context. Paligan does not. It is an independent identity, built from the ground up, with no structural or legal ties to any fund-based entity.
The name is entirely ours. That matters more than it might seem. It gives us a platform we can build on without navigating anyone else's history or brand associations.
How we invest has not changed. The structure, the strategy, the commitments to existing partners — all of it remains the same. We are still behind the scenes, sourcing, structuring, and executing. We are just doing it under a name that reflects exactly that, and nothing else.
